MIDDLE & SENIOR SCHOOL, ŻEJTUN

Un bon petit déjeuner français !

On Monay, 27th April, teachers of French together with the school’s Deputy head, Ms Rosen Mifsud and accompanying LSEs Ms Stella and Ms Diandra, attended a French breakfast experience at Manouche Restaurant in Marsaxlokk.  All students of French at school were invited to participate; 73 chose to attend. The outing was turned into a full experience by trekking all the way from the school to Marsaxlokk and back – a true petite randonnée française. Mr Duncan Azzopardi kindly led the trek.  At the restaurant, for the petit déjeuner experience, the students were served an authentic French breakfast, including chocolat chaud, jus d’orange, water, along with crêpes, French toast and croissants drizzled with chocolate and jam.  It was truly delicious.  The visit was also educational, allowing the students to consolidate key areas of the French syllabus, particularly the topic À boire et à manger, covered in Year8.  To support the activity visually, each student received a double-page extract from Bonġu! magazine Issue 1, highlighting meals in a typical French day.  Additionally, a Canva-designed handout was provided, featuring a pancake recipe along with accompanying activities.
