crÊpes activity at St Benedict middle School Kirkop

This year Year 8 students at St Benedict College, Dr Maria Sciberras Middle School, Kirkop took part in a fun and engaging activity where they prepared delicious sweet crêpes as part of their learning on the French topic “À boire et à manger”. The hands-on session provided students with the opportunity to practise and reinforce French vocabulary related to food, drinks, ingredients, and cooking methods in a meaningful and interactive context.

Through this activity, students developed their speaking, listening, and reading skills in French by following instructions, identifying ingredients and using food-related expressions during the preparation process. The experience helped students connect language learning with everyday real-life situations, making the lesson both memorable and enjoyable. They greatly enjoyed the opportunity to combine language learning with practical application in the Home Economics laboratory. The activity proved to be an enriching experience that strengthened students’ confidence and enthusiasm for learning French.
