Multicultural event at St Benedict Senior School Kirkop

Launch of the first Multicultural event at St Benedict College, Secondary School, Kirkop.

May 15th was the day when the school launched the first edition of the Multicultural Event. The objective was to raise awareness among students, staff and their relatives about the importance of celebrating diversity, inclusion, and unity. The event was an excellent opportunity to put in the spot light the many cultures that already exist in our community.

All school students were invited to participate in this special event. They were invited to go round the different language stalls and take part in the activities. Students visited the French stand which was set up by the French Department. Three main activities were organised: choosing and writing your favourite French word, doing a fun online activity and the cherry on the cake – dressing up for a selfie. Students posed for a photo holding their favourite French symbol. It was the perfect way to learn about traditions, food, cultural customs and more.  All those who took part received a tasty croissant as a treat. It was an excellent opportunity to meet, collaborate, and celebrate diversity together.
